DTDL: Universal Design for Learning

Meeting the needs of all learners can be a challenge for even the most experienced educators.  This collection provides strategies for using technology to address learning preferences for students in the classroom as well as adults in professional learning environments.  Explore resources that share how to fuse different learning models to encourage higher order thinking in a technology-rich learning space, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

By the end of this collection, you will be able to:

  • Reflect on personal beliefs regarding Gardner's Multiple Intelligences and learning styles
  • Design a learning experience that includes at least two checkpoints of a guideline
  • Cite reasons why UDL is a best practice strategy
  • Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity
  • Utilize a digital tool to produce a visual depiction of prior knowledge
